Purpose and access
These terms govern access to NotrePause and use of its free mini-games. Games require no account and run in a compatible browser. Some features require an Internet connection; previously loaded games may be available offline. Users bear their own connection costs.
Nature of the service
Games provide entertainment for short breaks. They do not guarantee any result, performance improvement or health benefit. Users choose their session duration and may stop at any time. Scores are stored locally and do not constitute an official leaderboard.
Availability
The publisher makes reasonable efforts to keep the site accessible but does not guarantee continuous or error-free access. The service may be interrupted, suspended or changed for maintenance, security, technical developments, overload or force majeure. Free features may change or be withdrawn.
User obligations
Users must use the site lawfully. Attempts to access restricted areas, compromise the service, disrupt its operation, bypass protections or payment limits, or carry out bulk extraction or abusive automation are prohibited. The publisher may restrict access to protect the service against abuse.
Intellectual property
Original text, interfaces, illustrations, logos and code are protected to the extent provided by intellectual property law. Browsing and playing are permitted for personal use. Other uses of protected materials require permission from the rights holder, subject to statutory exceptions and applicable licenses. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses, accessible from this page.
Voluntary support and payment
Games remain free. Support is a voluntary contribution to project hosting and development, without a subscription or paid access to games. You freely choose an amount between EUR 2 and EUR 500 before being redirected to secure Stripe checkout. The amount is shown before confirmation. Contributions are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law, including any applicable withdrawal right. This policy does not remove any statutory rights. The publisher does not store full card details. A return page alone does not confirm payment. For payment questions or disputes, contact guillaume@foveau.eu with the date and reference, without providing card details.
Personal data
Preferences, scores and game saves are stored in the browser. Payment and audience measurement processing, when enabled, are described in the site privacy policy. Contact: guillaume@foveau.eu.
Liability
Users remain responsible for their equipment, connection and use of the service. Operation may be affected by the Internet, browser, hosting provider or third-party providers. These terms do not exclude or limit any liability or right that the law prohibits excluding or limiting.
External links
The site includes a link to Chess Review. Services on external sites and Stripe payments are subject to their own terms and policies. These terms do not govern Chess Review accounts, game analyses or other services.
Version and translations
Version dated 2 October 2026. The publisher may amend these terms; the updated version and date are published on this page. The terms applicable to a payment are those presented at the time, subject to mandatory rules. The English version is a translation; if versions differ, the French version is the reference, subject to applicable mandatory rights.
Complaints and applicable law
For questions or complaints, contact guillaume@foveau.eu with the information needed to identify your request. The publisher aims to respond within a reasonable time. These terms are governed by French law without depriving consumers of mandatory protections. The parties will seek an amicable solution; otherwise, jurisdiction is determined by applicable legal rules. No consumer mediator has been designated at this time. This does not deprive consumers of their statutory rights.
Severability
If a clause is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
